What you encounter in every Mallika Sherawat’s film? A good exposure of her skin? That I would consider being normal in every of her film, then what would be the other thing? Her acting ofcourse! She has done it again by ‘Not Acting’ in this film also. I don’t know why Jennifer Lynch had cast Mallika in this film? I guess after reading the script before casting, everyone would have thought to cast only Mallika in this film. Let’s see why it is so.
It’s the story of about two human turning snake lovers. The male snake is being kidnapped by one mad foreigner who is suffering from Cancer. He planed that by killing both the snake lovers he will get the ‘Nag Mani’ (Snake Pearl), and by having that he will be cured and will immortal to life. He had kidnapped the male snake and is waiting for the female snake (Mallika Sherawat) to get trapped. And so now the female snake is on a mission to set his lover free, and to take revenge against that foreigner. She turned to human, and was killing to people who were doing cruelty to women’s. Irrfan Khan plays the role as Police Inspector and is on a mission to catch the killer behind such deadly murders.
Direction by Jennifer Lynch was good overall, but I am having only one strong objection from her that why did she launch Mallika in the film? The story is very clichéd and it looks like it is being lifted from some b-grade 70’s Naagin film. And about the performance, I said earlier only, Mallika had done it again. But the film was a bit saved because Mallika didn’t spoke even a word of dialogue in the entire film. Though she didn’t act in the film was natural, but Thank God that she didn’t spoke any dialogues. Otherwise the film would be worse. Other than this, in every second scene of Mallika, she was appearing as semi nude in the screen. And her all the scenes were just pointless and useless. She just comes and goes, comes and goes. About the Irrfan Khan, he was just there to investigate all the murders done by Naagin, and to think day and night about the unknown killer. Divya Dutta was just there for her love making scene with Irrfan. Mallika has also done lyrics in the film and had also sung a song in the film. Don’t think that she got lots of experience and exposure; it was just that she was remaining free almost in the entire making.
Special effects done in this film were pretty good, music was below the average, and the rest of the technicalities were decent. The only flaw in this film is the lack of good storyline. The story is simple, but very-very clichéd and presented in a very bad way. Right from the start of the film, it will kick your expectation and hope. And just after 10mins of the film, either you will wait for the end credit to vasool your money in the air-conditioner theater, or you will just walk out from the theatre cursing the makers of the film.
See Mallika Sherawat’s ‘Murder’ film again, if interested only in watching Mallika here. Or else don’t even think to watch this film.
