  • A nightmare called Honeymoon

Honeymoon rating: 0 out of 10(Aditya Chakrabarty wrote on 16 Jan 2013)

A budding producer Nikhil who is to produce a Hindi film with Shahrukh goes on a honeymoon with his wife, Payel to North Bengal and stays at a resort. While the couple stay for a few days peacefully, the manager of the resort continuously pesters them and a shocking incident occurs there which destroys the life of this couple. What exactly takes place?

Well, if you thought this was enough, this is the beginning of the nightmare of a film called Honeymoon. Firstly Nikhil played by Saheb is supposed to produce a film starring Shahrukh and then Payel, the newcomer playing his wife tries her best to expose herself in steamy scenes with Saheb and thus draw the attention of the audience. Locket playing a madwoman, Shiuli prances around and spies on the couple’s intimate moments . The manager hits Nikhil on the head , he dies and his dead body is pulled away from the floor! Interval flashes on the screen ! What’s more? A complete twist in the tale ! When Payel’s ex boyfriend ,C.I.D Inspector Abhishek investigates the truth, he discovers that Nikhil is still alive, is hand in hand with the manager and is in fact at the helm of a porn racket as all the intimate moments of him with girls whom he ‘marries’ is captured on spy cams and sold to foreigners! In between, Abhishek even gets to shake a few steps with Priya who is half his age in real life and it looks ridiculous! Locket also regains her memory meanwhile. Oh! Just as the end credits start to roll, out of the blue appear Aviraj and Pamela in an item song! Can anything be worse?

The viewing in a central Kolkata theatre which has poor sound quality and a hazy screen made this film look like a poor shoddy C grade Bengali flick. Why, coming to think of it, it is one!

Beware of such a honeymoon otherwise you will never ever feel like going on one!
