Nothing much to say really. As is very apparent from the title, Hot Tub Time Machine is a movie where a bunch of guys travel back in time.
Three friends and one nephew get into a hot tub in 2010, some shit happens and they are taken back to 1986. They get the shock of their lives when they figure this out, get even more shocks when they understand that to go back to 2010, they have to live that one day in exactly the same manner as they did 24 years ago. Some of them do the same things reluctantly; some don’t do it at all. What they do do is get into a whole lot of hilarious situations, rediscover their friendship and eventually come back as better men.
Hot Tub Time Machine is directed by Steve Pink. The movie doesn’t have a whole lot of logic, but that’s completely alright. It’s a fantasy that ain’t supposed to make sense. It’s supposed to entertain, and that it does. I’ve seen John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke as funnymen in other movies; they do well in this one as well.
Hot Tub Time Machine has a steady funny graph, a good amount of comic sequences and witty dialogues that keep you laughing. The movie has enough things going around to not bore you; it moves quickly and doesn’t have unnecessary drama or emotions. I’m starting to get repetitive now; I’ll end this by saying that Hot Tub Time Machine is a fun flick, a good watch.
