Gopal (Shahrukh Khan) is in love with Radha (Madhuri Dixit) ever since they were kids. As adults, they get married. There are two things Gopal disapproves of, after their marriage: Radha's unemployed younger brother Prashant (Atul Agnihotri) who lives with them, and Suraj (Salman Khan), Radha's childhood friend. 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam' was a disaster in big cities but did well in rural areas and small towns. It's not hard to see why. The film is way way way over the top! Every line of dialouge is practically screamed out and the histrionics are at a fever-pitch. This makes for very uncomfortable viewing. The script is clichéd and fifteen minutes into the film, it's possible to guess the complete story.
