It comes from an unlikely producer, "Smile Foundation', an NGO which works towards educating underprivileged children. 'I am Kalam' is the story of Chhotu (Harsh Mayar), a child from a poor family, somewhere in Rajasthan who is left by his mother at a roadside dhaba on the highway, owned by his Mama, Bhati (Gulshan Grover) to work and earn money for the family.
