The Preamble: It was a cold winter morning of February, 2013...Sitting inside my apartment in Delhi, holding a coffee mug in my right hand, I was relishing the morning freshness, along with reading a leading News Paper...Suddenly an article regarding an upcoming movie 'I, Me Aur Main' caught my attention...I forgot who wrote that article, but it was all about "How to take care of relationships...Be it, parents-child/spouses/friends or brother-sister, relationships come under stress at various points & mainly the problem arises when we take our relationships for granted..." ... » read more

It is the story of Ishaan (John Abraham) who is highly self-obsessed and lives-in with his girl friend Anushka (Chitrangada Singh). Anushka is a career-oriented woman who, when at home, has nothing to do but baby-sit Ishaan and take care of his demands, wishes, expenses and left-over. Three years into the relationship, one fine day, Anushka realizes that this man will never mend his ways and that she has had enough ... » read more

Film: I, Me Aur Main; Starring: John Abraham, Chitrangda Singh, Prachi Desai, Raima Sen, Mini Mathur; Directed by Kapil Sharma; Rating: ***

What do you with a self-obsessed guy like Ishaan who shoulders no responsibility except that to his iron-board torso and matinee-idol posturing, who takes everyone from Mom, Sis and girlfriend to success, friendship and karma for granted?

John Abraham plays the kind of narcissist whose life is just waiting to fall apart. It does, soon enough leaving him... well, high and not quite dry.

For much of its economical playing-time, I, Me Aur Main glides along innocuously in an urbane corporatized haze where women are allowed to be successful alongside men, though that success comes with a price.

Hence to no one's surprise, Anushka (Chitrangda)» Read full review
