Inception is a mind boggling film directed by Christopher Nolan, which takes the people watching it deep into the labyrinth of the sequences that unfold on the screen. One cannot miss even a second of the movie because if one does he is lost in the labyrinth.
The plot of the film is complicated. In the first hour or so, the film explains the technicalities involved in the process of extraction of dreams from the minds of the people who are either sleeping or in their subconscious state. Later the story relating to the inception of an idea into the mind of a man is unfolded. This task is considered to be tougher and more complicated than extraction, and we have our team entering into the world of dreams rather many levels of dreams i.e. a dream within a dream within a dream! It seems confusing and thus one needs to watch this masterpiece to experience it.
The entire cast in the film, gives an outstanding performance, portraying their respective characters convincingly. Nolan never loses the grip on the story and executes it superbly. The action sequences are marvellous, especially loved the scene where Arthur played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt fights in a corridor which is rotating 360 degrees due to the fact that the van in which he's dreaming about the fight, is tumbling down a slope.
Another asset of this movie is the haunting score by Hans Zimmer, which increases the impact of every scene in the film.
If one has watched Memento and The Dark Night and liked them, Nolan now has given us Memento + The Dark Knight = INCEPTION. Go watch it to be immersed in this labyrinth of dreams.
