After watching this movie and stepping out from the dark room, the first thing that comes in your mind would be “Am I dreaming??”, and that’s what I call the effect of the film. Christopher Nolan has given us something unimaginable story, with flawless direction directed by him.
The overall film can be described in few little words:
The film is as elegant and as stylish, bravura film-making, emotive but not manipulative, profoundly intelligent but not preachy or patronizing, subtle but not impenetrable, thoughtful but not miserable, literally bursting with creative energy yet unashamed to pay homage to its recognizable influences; and framed by powerful performances upon which Christopher Nolan easily hangs his intricately shot and crafted tale, from strong cameos from the likes of Tom Berenger and Pete Postlethwaite to entertaining support from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy to carefully constructed and well-honed central performances from Di Caprio, Ellen Page and the glorious, lovely-yet-terrifying Marion Cotillard, whom the camera seems to love and fear in equal measure.
One long sentence with so many words; similarly this is one long film with so many unbelievable things to watch. In the entire 2hrs 22mins film, you can’t even afford to miss even a single second, from start to finish this movie just holds your attention and you will witness something that you can’t even dreamed of.
I am just out of words how to appreciate this film, I am just speechless. The only thing I could say is Hollywood is too too too far away from Bollywood. After watching the film I am just surprised that anyone can make this type of story or can present this type of screenplay?? Can you just believe this that almost 90% of the film is being shown in dream, and you never felt that. I just can’t believe it, standing hats off to Chirs Nolan.
Also I would like to add that Christopher Nolan has pretty good casted the characters. Each and every character has been well portrayed and justified in its own way. Plus without the performances by all of them, especially by Leonardo Di Caprio, this film wouldn’t be as likable as it is still now. He was the perfect, and has performed astoundingly well. No one can ever think of his replacement in this movie, only he was having the potential to take the film at such extreme level, and he has wisely done that. A standing applause for him also!
Forget the hype machine and the mega-million marketing campaign, and what you're left with is an entertaining, intelligent film. Perhaps in its execution, Inception doesn't truly do justice to the incredible concept driving it. But it's a fantastic effort all the same, and a sure-fire blockbuster.
Inception, is a movie for a lifetime, do not miss it!
