Frankly speaking, it’s an injection to pinch you the feeling of OMG and WOW!!!
Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a kind of specialist who has the skill to get inside people's dream and steal their ideas for various reasons. During one such assignment the subject (dreamer) being aware of Cobb's real intension jeopardizes the mission. However impressed by Cobb's skill he is offered a new task for self redemption. Instead of stealing a dream he needs to implant one in a key business tycoon's mind which will lead to known repercussion in real world.
The performances are staggering. Leonardo DiCaprio needs to at least get an Oscar nomination for this film (and a win for Shutter Island) and he drives the film in the best way possible. Joseph Gordon-Levitt also does an incredible job in the role as well. Some other supporting roles such as Ken Wantabe, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, and Marion Cotillard are also really great in the movie, but the supporting role that I really liked was Tom Hardy as Eames. He felt like the James Bond of the film, and I think he should get more recognition.
The direction was top notch along with the breathtaking visuals and locations, especially the dream scenes. As for the academy awards, I expect this film to grab the prize in direction, screenplay, sound mixing, sound editing and visual effects and may also the best picture.
If you are a fool, then don’t watch it!
