This film is about a boy name Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) who is dumb and deaf. His father Anwar (Yateen Karyekar) is a farmer. He often orders to his son Iqbal to join him as farmer. But Iqbal’s world is totally different. His ambition, his goal, his only dream is to become the cricketer and wants to play India. He takes the one year time from his father as his mother and especially sister Khadija (Shweta Prasad) was very supportive to him. By requesting and showing his talent, he joins the cricket academy which is based at his village only. He has a clash with Kamal (Adarsh Bala Krishna) who is a star batsman, an arrogant and jealous boy. One day Iqbal’s bouncer hits Kamal and he gets injured. As a result, Iqbal is removed from the academy. His dream, his goal, his everything is finished. He is very disappointed, and throws his favorite cricket posters in the fire. From those posters, he suddenly sees the picture of Mohit (Naseeruddin shah) who was a bowler in the Indian team, but now he has been reduced to being a drunkard in his village. Iqbal and Khadija meet Mohit and convinces him to train Iqbal. Meanwhile Iqbal’s father is unaware of these developments and when he comes to know of this, he forces Iqbal to work with him.
