Superbly written by Vipul K Rawal Iqbal tells the story of Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade), a deaf-mute boy, who dreams of playing cricket for India. However, he is discouraged by his father who thinks that Iqbal's daydreams are a waste of time. Instead, he wants Iqbal to help him tend to the crops and become a farmer like him, which would be a stable profession.

One of my most favourite movie. Can be seen ‘n’ number of times. Shreyas talpade has opened his account here and on his first ball only he hitted six. Actually he was quite lucky that he got trained on field and out field by the great and much much experience actor, none other than Nasserudin Shah. Not only the story, screenplay, performances, even the songs of the film are so inspiring and no doubt is still so popular.
