Rahman disappoints in Jab Tak Hai Jaan

With the exception of Dil To Pagal Hai (which too has a nice ring), just about every title of a Yash Chopra creation articulates its gist in very little. It wasn't a selection I had hoped for but I reasoned if we could get used to Jab We Met, we'll probably get used to this too. Then came outmore

JAB TAK HAI JAAN is indeed a gratifying experience

It's time to celebrate, rejoice and look forward to a memorable musical experience for all the music aficionados as such great names, living legends Yash Chopra, Gulzar and maestro A.R. Rahman collaborate for the very first time for an epic romance, JAB TAK HAI JAAN, starring the King of romance, Shah Rukh Khan and Queen bee of Bollywood Katrina Kaif, Naturally it goes without saying that expectations are bound to be of gargantuan proportionsmore

Not vintage Rahman but appealing nevertheless

The combination of Yash Raj Productions with AR Rahman and Gulzar would normally have us bursting firecrackers from the rooftop. Normally being the key word. Rahman is a genius. Period. Geniuses shouldn’t be shackled. This album sounds as if the maestro was told to toe the Yash Raj line. Hence, instead of following his heart and making wild, vibrant music, Rahman has made maple sugar sweet music. As they say, too much maple syrupmore
