The Real King of Romance is back with his final token of love for all his fans… YASH CHOPRA.. at the age of 80, he is directing a movie… may be its his last presentation…

YASH CHOPRA is always famous for his movies… WAQT, DEEWAR, TRISHUL, KALA PATHAR, MASHAL; but his romantic movies are always the first choice of millions of hearts… like … DAAG, KABHI KABHI, SILSILA, CHANDNI, LAMHE, DIL TO PAGAL HAI, VEER ZARA…

On the other hand, we have GULZAR+ REHMAAN… the Oscar winning Combination… this combo has always created the magic… DILSE, GURU, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, YUVVRAJ, RAAVAN… all of those have the great compositions…

Yash Chopra is also known as a great music producer… as his movies have great and divine music….

So does the Chopra Saab manage to produce the great music again by this combo???? Lets find out the answer….

The Album JAB TAK HAI JAAN comprises of 9 tracks… lets analysis the tracks one by one…

      1. Challa - Sung by Rabbi

This is an introductory Track f the album… even Yash chopra has selected this track first to promote the album. You can find the Punjabi flavor and Rabbi shergill’s typical style in this song…
Lyrics are in Punjabi but the music is enjoyable…. And after listening the song you will definitely say ‘Challa gali gali rudada phire…’

      2. Saans – Sung by Mohit Chauhan & Shreya Ghoshal

So far lyrically this one best track of the album… Shreya Ghoshal’s romantic voice makes it much more melodious… Mohit Chauhan has also done the good job… Gulzar Saab has created the magic again with his pen… words are delightful...

      3. Ishq Shava – Sung by Raghav Mathur & Shilpa Rao

The typical Gulzar style song… a good, feet tapping music… and hummable words make the song much interesting… young crowd will definitely going to enjoy this song..

      4. Heer – Sung by Harshdeep Kaur

A Punjabi Folk flavored song with a great voice of Harshdeep Kaur… her voice touches the heart… Harshdeep has succeeded in showing the pains of the girl… words are touchy…

      5. Jiya Re – Sung by Neeti Mohan

This song seems to be picturised on Anushka Sharma… the song is full of enjoyment, fun and life… not too great, but a good song

      6. Jab Tak Hai Jaan – Sung by Javed Ali & Shakthisree Gopalan

The title track of the album… it starts with such a high that you are going to feel that this one will be the best song…. But as tempo changes the song drops like anything… though it’s a decent attempt… Javed ali’s Sufiana touch is good… but the randomization in the song is a bit indigestible…

      7. Saans (Reprise) – Sung by Shreya Ghoshal

A sad version of SAANS… sung by Shreya ghoshal… words are good… bit slow tempo… so that it makes a sad impression…. Might be used in Climax of the movie…

      8. Ishq Dance – Instrumental

It reminds me of somewhat Rahman did in the Movie Taal… music is feet tapping… here you will find the Rahman’s touch…

      9. Jab Tak Hai Jaan - The Poem – Narrated by Shahrukh Khan

The Gulzar Saab’s Poetry is fabulous… SRK voice is impressive… Rahman’s background music is inspiring…

Though the songs are good… but you will definitely missing Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and above all AR Rahman himself..

We all have great hopes with Rahman... though you will find this as YASH CHOPRA’s album rather than RAHMAN’s one… GULZAR SAAB’s words are good too but looks simpler than his previous recent works…

we can say that… ALBUM IS GOOD BUT RAHMAN’s TOUCH IS MISSING… definitely a sort of disappointment for Rahman's Die-Hard fans... but a good treat for Yash Chopra's Fans...
