    It was the year of famine. But Zamindar Pratap Narayan was still continuing his oppression.Pratap Narayan's wife Rani blamed her husband for the famine and requested him to feed the hungry prople.Patriotic young man Sitangshu was brought up in Zamindar's house, he organised the villagers against the zamindar's appression. Naturally Sitangshu fell in the face of anger of Pratap Narayan. Pratap started tortured Sitangshu in different ways by his executive Ganapati. Rani always considered Sitangshu like her own son. So there started a confrontation between husband and wife. Their only daughter Bani liked Sitangshu. So ignoring her father's resistence she want to dedicate herself in all the works of Sitangshu. Sitangshu had brought up orphan Radha like his own sister. Radha is also a member in Sitangshu's mission.The hungry villagers being desperate wanted to loot Zamindar's granary.They disobeyed even Sitangshu's orders. Rani came out to meet their demands.The Zamindar started firing from his first floor balcony. Rani was shot. She fell.Pratap Narayan's consciousness returned. He wanted to hide his sinful face from everybody.And before her death Rani blessed Bani and Sitangshu.
