Lord Narayan and goddess Laxmi became Sita and Ram-Laxman, Bharat-Shatrughna on necessity. When Ram and Laxman became almost expert in both academics and warfare, Maharishi Biswamitra came to king Dasaratha one day and begged for Ram and Laxman's help to kill Marich, the devil, son of Taraka and his associates. Dasaratha immediately agreed. Biswamitra took Ram and Laxman to the palace for sacrifice. On the way Ram killed Taraka. The sacrifitial ritual started as usual.
