It's always enthralling to watch a new pair at least in Bengali cinema as its boundaries are limited and similarly Koyel and Soham don't look bad, thanks to public interest and expectations. But I should tell one thing to Mr. Raja Chanda, hon'ble director of "Jaaneman" - Sir, please give us a story with a good script. We sincerely hope Challenge2 will not be like Jaaneman. Improve yourself, Mr. Director!
I practically have nothing to say about the film. I wouldn't even criticize the action sequences as they are like the other films and not very badly executed. Soham obviously does not possess a well-sculpted body but okay! We understand everyone can't have it! So let's not make too much fuss.
Absurdity is the major negative point of this film. Suddenly Soham gives money to the kids from his car to have icecream! There are other illogical parts about it too.
And direction is VERY WRONG and BAD, I must say. Absurdity is okay, to some extent as we have seen absurdity in some Bengali films but when the direction is bad, the movie becomes pathetic.
Soham was so-so. Not very good,I should say. And please Durector moshai, stop those silly "Ice-cream khilaibo" where Soham has to protrude his tongue out and do a funny job. And we had expected improvement and better quality acting. Big disappointment!
If you have to go to watch the movie, go for Koyel. She's very good indeed! Her expressions are very clear-cut and that's what makes a good actress. Very good work! Only if the direction was good, it would have worked wonders!
Jeet Gannguli has perhaps created his worst, boring and uninteresting songs. No tempo, nothing! "I am in love" was too bad. But Zubain has done a commendable job in "Tomar amar prem". The only good composition of Jeet Gannguli.
With "Vikram Singha" running riots with a major force called Prosenjit and obviously better direction, better acting, better action, etc. I don't think Jaaneman has a chance to stand.
See, a movie can also be judged by performance. Sometimes totally trash movies can stand due to commendable performances but a big thumbs-down for that! Soham, please lose some weight!
Overall, Jaaneman may be a success ONLY because of Koyel.
