Jannat 2 rating: 0 out of 10(Pratibha Yadav wrote on 26 Apr 2012)

‘Jannat 2’ is a story of a street smart guy Sonu who has been used by ACP Pratap to expose a gun nexus. Sonu falls in love with a beautiful girl. In the end Sonu does something which changes the lives of all three of them.

As we all know ‘Jannat 2’ is a sequel to super hit film ‘Jannat’ which had a great collection of songs and are still played and enjoyed by music lovers. It may not be fair to compare two films but what if I say the music album of ‘Jannat 2’ is not as good as ‘Jannat’. What if the film doesn’t make a mark like its prequel!

Well ‘Jannat 2’ has its own collection of songs. It looks as if the makers have tried hard to match up to the standards of their first film and they have succeeded to a certain extent but obviously winner stands alone! What Say!

Tu Hi Mera Mera: sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali is just an average track and an average beginning to the album. The music somehow remains at low level and never picks up. It’s a regular sufi kind of song. The line Tu hi Mera the only thing impressive here. Lyrics by Sayeed Quadri also don’t do much good to the song. It may not make up to the list of favorites. It gives a slow and dull start to the album.

Tera Deedar Hua: sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan it is indeed a soulful song. It starts with a beautiful music and continues to impress us till the end. The music gradually transforms into a great energy which does makes a difference in our moods (especially when you are angry, listen to this song). It’s like a rollercoaster ride which moves from slow track to fast and then again slow. The romantic feeling of the song and the magic of Rahet Fateh Ali Khan is just perfectly soothing and mesmerizing. The song will go a long way. Till then keep humming 'Tera Deedar Hua, pehla sa pyaar hua......'

Tera Deedar Hua (From the heart) by Javed Ali is also very good and soothing. Both the singers have done justice to the song. Thankfully we also get a variety in this song.

Tujhe Sochta Hu: This is yet another sad song. It would not be wrong to say that this song again wins our heart. The way the KK sings ‘Ahahaha...Ahaha.’ is amazing. It has that deep emotional attachment which sticks to you for long.

'Tu mera Tikhana Mera Aashiyana..dhale shaam jab bhi mere pass ana...' wow the lyrics are beautiful too isn’t it?. Within no time it will be everybody's favorite.

'Jannatein Kahan' has a shadow of Jannat's Zara sa dil main Jagah...... It turns out to be a good track altogether but not very impressive. It’s just ok and subjective.

‘Rab Ka Shukrana....’ sung by Mohit Chauhan has an amazing music. The lyrics are also well written. Lyrics are beautifully written. The song will gradually rock the show. After all it’s sung by our Rockstar!

If you here to the songs without keeping in mind the musical journey of ‘Jannat’, you will like the album more. It has the potential to stay for some time.

Trailer of the film is quite hard and impressive. Emraan and Randeep look quite appealing. The dialogues like ‘Log apni Zindaagi Banate Hain, Main Apni Jannat Banata Hu’ are quite thoughtful and make a mark. If the film has many more such dialogues, it may score on the dialogues part. Overall Trailer has a great impact value.

As per the record, Emraan Hashmi’s films have never gone out without doing some business. The actor has a loyal set of audience. Since the trailer is good, the audience will definitely rush to the theatres which will definitely make an impact on the box office. Hope it doesn’t turn out to be a flop show!
