    Javed Jaffrey is born on 4th of December 1963 in Mumbai. He is the son of Syed Jawaher Ali Jaffrey who is formerly well known as Jagdeep in the industry. He is married to ‘Habiba’ and has 2 children.
    He is an Indian actor of substantial repute, who has acted in various Hindi movies and serials. He is well known for his portrayals of Mumbai hoodlums known as ‘taporis’.
    He gained additional attention and gained approval for his performance in a Maggi tomato ketchup advertisement aired in the 1990s.
    Not only that he is very much famous for his role in the film “Bombay Boys”, starring in its hit song ‘I am Mumbhai.’
    His debut film “Meri Jung” which was released in the year 1985, gave him the opportunity to enact the role of a villain and also given him the opportunity to showcase his dancing talent on the screen.
    Then he appeared in many successful films like “7saal Baad” (1987), “Who Phir Aayegi” (1988), “Lashkar” (1989), “Jawani Zindabad” (1990), “Sam & Me” (1991), “100 Days” (1991), “Jeena Marna Tere Sang” (1992), “Karma Yodha” (1992), “Tahalka” (1992), and etc.
    Recently he was appeared in the film “Singh is King” (2008) which has also played a moderate success in the box-office. And had given his voice in an Animation Film “Roadside Romeo” directed by ‘Jugal Hansraj’ & produced by ‘Aditya Chopra’ which is yet to be released.
    The launch of cable TV, particularly MTV and its irreverent that is critically of what is generally accepted or respected sense of humor gave him as a unique brand of comedy which he made a huge number of fans all over him. He anchored the show 'Blast from the Past' with distinctive brilliance.
    He won his first IIFA award for best comic role in Salaam Namaste in 2006.
    On Sony Entertainment Television Asia he hosts the dance competition show ‘Boogie Woogie’ with his brother, Naved Jaffery and friend Ravi Behl. And only because of these trios the show was running in an extreme level and was a huge success till date in the genre of reality show.
    Not only in the world of acting, hosting and dancing, he also showed his talents in the singing world and explored as a playback singer in the film “Ohh Darling!! Yeh Hai India” (1995) and in “Victoria No. 203” (2007). Not only that, he worked as a Choreographer also in the same film “Victoria No. 203” (2007)
    He is currently giving dubbed commentary to the famous Japanese television show “Takeshi's Castle” on Pogo TV.
    And his upcoming films are “Paying Guest” directed by Paritossh Painter and produced by Subhash Ghai, “Hello Darling” which is under the post-production and directed by Manoj Tiwari and the film written & directed by Nagesh Kukunoor “Eight by Ten” which is under the production process. And many more films like “The Forest”, “Daddy Cool”, “Loot”, etc. on line.
