This is a terrible film by all means as it neither qualifies as an art film or as commercial film. Going by the posters, one would have thought Swarna Kamal and Soham to be the lead actors. Soham remains in the lead, but Swarna Kamal only appears around interval and even after that continues to look dazed and confused a till the very last moment. This tragic tale of the young girl with a troubled childhood who falls in love with a minister’s son and later comes to know after years when she is again connected to him that he never loved her, goes nowhere from the very first ... » read more

Before Jeena ends, you might forget the story line of the film, but please don’t forget the name of the director of this film. Her name is Sanghamitra Choudhury. You have to remember her name just to avoid her next Bengali movie.
Soham is a central male character around whom three girls Swarnakamal, Amrapali and Arpita revolves without any rhythm or any reason. Even at the end of the film it will difficult to identify the genre of the film which at times seemed to be a crime thriller, but actually not. The title sequence, a montage of some unexplained shots, is enough ... » read more

Jeena- The endless love. It portrays story of a young girl who suffers from psycho problem due to domestic violence. Jeena is love-seek, loner and vulnerable. She falls pray to one-sided love affair. This state of mental aberration leads to emptiness and a fatal conclusion.
Jeena has a strong story line that imbibes with great directorial skill by Sanghamitra Chaudhuri who has given a variety of cinema like Ratporir Rupkatha, Premer Phande Kakatua (A funtoosh film)etc. She has portrayed a nice movie within a limited budget with great locales, extra ordinary cinematography, ... » read more

Jeena the endless love is a heart wrenching movie. It is the story of a young girl who suffers from trauma of a broken family.
The story telling is simple, creative and refreshing. It is a movie that will pull the mass as well as the class.
Jeena's character enacted by Swarnakamal has done a good job. She is a talented actress supported by Soham Chakravarty, Arpita Mukherjee, Amrapali and over and above Indrani Halder and Abhishek Chatterjee.
Arpita Mukherjee's acting skills have improved and Soham is no doubt well groomed and skilled from his master Bittu ... » read more

JEENA is a good film with proper casting and smart making.
What else do we expect from restricted finances for a small market with limited buyers?
Jeena is not a film by any heavy weight producer or so called Director that people will think twice to abuse.
The film has a new dimension and creative angles. It has great picturesque shots that overwhelmed me as an audience.
The acting by Swarna Kamal, Soham and Arpita are good. Indrani is as good as ever. Only if we could get her for a few more scenes.
    Well done Sanghamitra.
Will wait for your next film. » read more
