    Jayanti Mukherjee (Alpana Goswami) was the only doughter of a rich man Mr. Mukherjee (Ashim Kumar). Mr. Mukherjee's second wife Sujata (Sanghamitra Banerjee), had an affair with another guy Kuntal and they were greedy for the whole property. One day, after quarrelling with his wife, Mr. Mukherjee died of heart attack. Then Sujata triod to capture Jayanti, but she came out of the house and went to her grandmother's place. In the way some criminals were disturbing her and she escaped from there. After that, Jayanti was found by a brahmin (Nirmal Kumar) from a temple. He took her to his place and after knowing her whole story tried to send information to Jayanti's grandmother but they failed. Jayanti started to live in the village and she had a friend Nina (Rajeswari). Jayanti met Kanu (Shamit Bhanja), a blind guy, they first became friends and after some time fell in love with each other. Kanu's brogher Fatik (Dilip Roy) did not accept it and after quarrelling with wife (Madhabi), got Kanu out from house. On the other hand, Sujata came to know that the whole property was in the name of Jayanti and she started to search for her. Once, she found Jayanti and captured her in house but one day when she saw Kuntal trying to rape Jayanti then she realised her fault and killed Kuntal. Police arrested her and she accepted Jayanti and Kanu's relation. She also donated Kanu her eyes. Finally Jayanti came back to village with Kanu.
