The movie starts with the early life of Jodha-Akbar. At one side where young Jallaludin / Jallal go through the rough terrains of war, another side Jodha grows with lots of education, training, love, traditional values. When Jallaudin [Hrithik roshan] grows up he plans to spread his kingdom and have a united Hindustan. He sends his message to all the kings to come under his kingdom, including the kings of Rajputana. meanwhile Jodhas[Aishwarya rai bacchan] cousin brother Sujamal [sonu sood] leaves his kingdom and joins akbars brother in law Shareefudin [Nikhat dheer]. Fearing of loosing his kingdom jodhas father Raja bharmal [Kulbhushan kharbanda] does a deal with jallal. he accepts to be under the kingdom of jallal and offers marriage proposal for jallal with jodha. But jodha, unhappy with the proposal , request for two condition [not to change her religion and keep lord krishnas idol in her room]. Jallal agrees and they get married. Besides jodha plenty of akbars relatives were unhappy including saiffudin and Maha manga [Ila arun]. How does jallal and jodha deals with this journey of love is a delight to watch out for.
