    GV Prakash Kumar, who composed the film's music is AR Rahman's nephew. He composed music for all the songs, except the item song, 'Kaafirana', as he was taking time to compose the song, the filmmakers got impatient and roped in Gaurav Dagaonkar as the composer for the same.

    Paglapur, the fictional place, where the movie is set was earlier stated to be located close to the border of 3 states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. But, the filmmakers later decided to change the names of the states to Uttam Pradesh, Prajasthan and Mukhya Pradesh respectively to avoid any controversies. Some redubbing was required due to the change in names.

    Sonakshi Sinhas diamond jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh went missing from her vanity van on the sets of her next movie, JOKER. As per reports the theft occurred when the actress stepped out for a while during a late night shoot at Film City. That day director Shirish Kunder's birthday too was there.
