Judwaa is fun film to watch though the plot is very similar to a Jackie Chan movie “Twin Brothers” and loosely adopted from the Telgu hit “Hello Brother” starring Nagarjuna.
There are many funny moments in the film involving the confusion created by the dual roles.
Salman- Shakti scenes are funny while the scenes between Salman- Karisma barring the ass hitting was quite impressive in those days.
Judwaa is just a good time-pass flick meant to be watched when you've nothing else to do on a rainy day. Salman Khan plays a double role here (judwa bros separated at birth) - one obviously grows up to be a 'chaalu sadak chap' with a good heart, and the other is a straight forward music star ('bholu raam') who lacks his other brother's balls. Salman's task is to be funny here, and considering comedy has always been his strong suit, he naturally does a good job at portraying both characters. Among the ladies both Rambha and Karishma do a good job of showing off their anatomies in song picturisations. David Dhawan handles the film in his own style and does an okay job. The music is catchy and blends in perfectly with the storyline. It was a big hit that time, especially TAN TANA TAN. This film introduced DTS sound actually.
Kader Khan and Tiku Talsania were funny, Anupam Kher and Satish Shah as the silly but cute cops were hilarious. Mukesh Rishi and rest all are typecast.
Judwaa on the whole is basically a light hearted comedy featuring actors who are proved comedians. I would give it a decent 4/5.
