The word “Juggad” means tying two things together or to be more precise two ends together. This film is also about many such ends which are tied together to retrieve something back which had been gone for good. It proves how corrupt and faulty the entire system is and includes beggars who pretend to be beggars, but are not so in reality.

The film is about Sandip Kapoor (Manoj Bajpai) who runs a successful ad agency which he has created from scratch. His entire world came crashing down when he arrives at his office one day to find it sealed by the municipality on grounds that commercial establishments can’t function in residential localities. All his protests are in vain. He starts functioning from a different place which has no electricity or water, but somehow they manage. His friend and associate Murli (Vijay Raaz) visits the municipality at first but it is in vain. He then goes there in disguise and even gets to meet the municipal commissioner. He offers him bribe and even wine him and dine him, but he efforts are in vain and the commissioner throws him out when he comes to know about his real intentions. Sandip is furious when he comes to know about this. Meanwhile he own condition becomes precarious as he looses all his big clients, his employees leave him and he is forced to sell off his car. His wife helps to form a team who help him to rebuild the agency from scratch. He himself tries to do the same thing with the commissioner what his friend had done but he meets the same fate. The commissioner decides to send bulldozers to Sandip’ office to pull it down. Sandip spots certain mistakes in his file he had got from the commissioner and he shows this to his lawyer and a case is filed. On the day of demolition, just before it is to begin, Sandip’s lawyer arrives there with a stay order. The demolition is stalled and Sandip gets back his office.

The point is it is not a bad film and it has got some sense in it as well, but such films will not succeed nowadays at either single theatres or multiplexes. One big factor is the lack of stars. Had there been stars, well things might have been different. The performances are OK, but Vijay Raaz as Murli of the lot is good. By the way the central character of the film is called Sandip Kapoor just like the producer cum story writer of this film. Is this too much of a coincidence or is it actually his story that one saw ??
