The movie is about the life of Baba Lokenath. Thakurnashai is a great follower of Baba Lokenath. He worships in the temple of the Duttas. He is simple priest away from worldly affairs. He has no greed of money or wealth. But his wife is greedy and she insists him to accept the gifts he gets from Dutta family. She is also not happy with her husband because they have no baby. The priest calls Baba Lokenath for help and he gives him a baby girl. The couple takes the baby as their own and nurtures her with care and love. The priests Satabai Roy instills in her a great devotian for Baba Lokenath. She grows up with Dutta family’s only son, Shyam (Abhishek). They fall in love as they grow up. They are interested in the ancedotes of Baba Lokenath’s life which is narrated to them by the priest. Shyam’s mother does not like the idea of a poor girl getting involved with her son so, she insults her and her father. Thakurmosai leaves the temple and organises a festival at his own place. Finally, it is seen that all the villagers go to the priest’s house but not to the Dutta’s temple. The son was forcefully send to town and who was in the village for the ocassian looks for his friend and the priest. He comes to know of the injustice done to them and he goes to ask for forgiveness on behalf of his mother. Meanwhile Baba Lokenath punishes his mother by causing an accident to her son. Both Mr and Mrs. Dutta carries their son to the priest’s house who saves his life by his devotion to Baba Lokenath. Finally, Ishwari gets married to Shyam and all ends well.
