Kaash, I could see the future…..

Sci-Fi Thrillers have been highly successful in Hollywood and it seems to be Bollywood film makers latest fad. Starting from Love Story 2050, Aa Dekhe Zara and now Kal Kisne Dekha, all films related with future and Premonitions. Well this has been tried in past with films like 100Days and Iyer the Great too. So let’s see what future does Vashu Bhagnani’s “Kal Kisne Dekha “ has for us.

“Kal Kisne Dekha” is story of Small town boy Nihar Singh [Jackky Bhagnani] who comes to Mumbai to learn more about science by joining Science College [Which looks more of Hi-Fi Western movie influenced College]. He falls in love with Misha [Vyshalee Desai] and accompanies his professor Mishra [Rishi Kapoor] in his projects. But then something happens and Nihar uses his power which can see the future and saves a disaster. Nihar becomes local hero, but on other side starts the series of trouble for him especially from a terrorist group [Rahul Dev] and a Loony don Kalicharan [Ritesh Deshmukh]. How does Nihar comes out from all this trouble is the entire movie about.

Story is totally run of the mill type with good influence of Hollywood movies and some local dash of thriller effects. Screenplay is simple in the first half and grows a bit in second half falling to level zero in the climax. The movie needs some strict editing as one does feel the want of remote in second half so they can fast forward those scenes. Camera work is good and so are the locations.

Sajid Wajid are the biggest deserving people in this film. They have given some very good tracks for this film. Check out for Aalam guzar, Teri meri gal and Tere bina all are superb. Background music is also of good.

Director Vivek Sharma’s Last work was a good attempt and had touched his target audience. This time he moved a level up and targeted the teenagers, but fails miserably thanks to weak subject, cinematic liberties, goof ups, bad acting and excellent climax [fit for Trashy films]. The concept was good and if tired in different way could have been better.

Jackky looks like a cheap copy of Uday Chopra [wow now that’s some co-incidence some time back we had another producer’s son launched who was cheap copy of Hrithik Roshan]. Though he has tried his best to do all the part with full justification in dancing , fights, etc but still something is missing. Vyshalee Desai is ok, except for good face she does not have any charm or sex appeal as a new comer. Rishi Kapoor in Negative role is good but he has performed much better in past. Rahul Dev as terrorist is Yawn…., the best of all is Ritesh Deshmukh who has performed his part brilliantly, sadly it’s just a sp. appearance.

So bol meri ‘Filmi Khopdi’ is film mein kitna hai dum ?

Except for some good songs and okay dokay subject this film has no dum at all. I had sensed that the film might not be that good, but due to good songs thought the film be bit better. I wished the Strike would had ended a week later so I could had watched this film thinking its also one of those films lying in cans. Kaash I had such power as Nihar had I would had definitely avoided this film.
