While he falls in love with her, he is unable to say it out. Its during this delay that Raja comes to Dharampur following Sapna with an intention to marry her. A hurt Suraj discovers that Raja is his younger brother and that his mother is alive. Suraj decides to sacrifice his love for Raja. Raja calls his mother Savitridevi to Dharampur to see Sapna. Awaiting to be reunited with his mother, Suraj is shocked when Savitridevi suffers a mental attack on realising that Suraj is still alive. That's when the truth comes out that her husband had told her that Suraj was dead. Her chronicles also reveal that she was raped by Yograj / Thakur (Ashutosh Rana), a powerful man, and he impregnated her with Suraj.
