    Kasinadhuni Vishwanath or K. Viswanath born 04 July 1930 is an Indian film director and actor from Telugu Cinema. He is a multiple winner of National Film Award and Nandi Award. He has directed films like Swathi Muthyam which was India's official entry to the Oscars for 1986. This film and Sagara Sangamam, won two awards at the International Asian Film Festival for "Best Film" and "Best Actor" Viswanath's 1987 filmSwayam Krushi was also screened at the Russian Film Festival. Viswanath was born to Sri Kasinadhuni Subrahmanyam and Smt Kasinadhuni Saraswatamma in a Niyogi Telugu Brahmin family and hails from Peddapulivarru, near Repalle in Andhra Pradesh.
    Viswanath began his career as a technician in a studio at Chennai and later assisted Adurthi Subba Rao in direction.[4] He also worked as an assistant to director Ramnoth.[5] He also wished to work as an assistant to K. Balachander and Bapu.[6] He debuted as a director withAatma Gowravam, which starred Akkineni Nageswara Rao. And later followed with Siri Siri Muvva.
    His films include Sankarabharanam ('Lord Shankara (shiva)'s Ornament'), Saagara Sangamam, Srutilayalu, Sirivennela ('Golden Moonlight'),Swarnakamalam ('Golden Lotus'), and Swathi Kiranam ('A Ray of Talent').
    Vishwanath also made films about the social front like Sapthapadhi ('The seven Steps', about th n in TTD's Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel (SVBC).
    Viswanath is married and has three children (Padmavathi,Nagendranath and Ravindranath).

    Viswanath also ventured into mainstream acting in Telugu movies. His first movie as an actor was Subha Sankalpam. And later on he did many movies such as Swarabhishekam which he himself directed and acted and other movies like Pandurangadu, Tagore, Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule and Tamil films like Kuruthipunal Kakkai Chiraginile, Mugavari, Bhagavathy,Pudiya Geethai and Yaradi Nee Mohini'. He is playing a role in Siva Narayna Teertha
