Director Prasun Banerjee has made a film titled “Ke Tumi?”. But after seeing the film one would definitely asked a vital question. Which is “Kabe Tairi”? The reason is simple: the cast comprises of Tapas Pal, Biswajeet, Raja Murad and of course Rituparna Sengupta.
“Ke Tumi?” is supposed to be a thriller as the story deals with two look alike persons with the same identity.
Rajesh (Ahmed sheikh) is a teacher. His wife Shila gets killed as she met with an accident while driving. After Cremating Rajesh comes back home and is told by his maidservant that his wife had come home when he was away and she had just before arriving. Rajesh is shocked to hear as he had himself cremated her and identified her by what she was wearing.
This could have been a nice beginning of a thriller even if it is badly made. But the problem of the screenplay is that after this the story line often slips away from the main suspense theme and finally it confuses the audience.
Ultimately it is revealed that it is a triangular love story and the murder of the wife of the teacher is the result of that.
The duplicate-wife puzzle is also at the end, but the saddest part of this end is that audience won’t accept it.
The visual quality and the quality of acting, music, editing and direction is very poor. It is surprising that how a person not knowing anything of film making gets money to make a trash film like “Ke Tumi?”
