A film unit guest to Pahalgaon for shooting. Intrigues, rivalries pressures, exploitation among the stuff result in the murder of a girl artiste Soni Razdan. But the murderer makes it look more like a suicide and not a killing.The brother of the deceased is a captain in the army (Nasserudin Shah), visits pahalgaon at his sister's behest. Upon knowing of her death, he decides to act like a police inspector and solve the mystery. Its here that everyone in the unit comes under suspicion, and many skeletons tumble out of the closet until the real murderer is finally nabbed.
