      Khiladi 786 music rating: 7 out of 10(suhail wrote on Oct 30 2012 7:11PM)

Recent Albums - Son Of Sardaar, Oh my God, Bol Bacchan.

Expectations - Khiladi legacy resumes with Khiladi 786, as our action star Akshay Kumar surprisingly ties knot with Himesh Reshammiya in various departments.Mainly concerned of music, Himesh composes yet another soundtrack for Akshay's movie. Recently these two were associated with Oh my God(Good music),Namastey
London(Chartbuster),Welcome,Phir Hera Phera etc.Hard to say about Himesh Reshammiya's
recent success,he is having off and on scores. Is khiladi 786 soundtrack a perfect start for the movie.Let's find out--

'Lonely' - Yo Yo Honey Singh,Himesh Reshammiya,Hamsika Iyer

Lonely is an aggregation of many experimental essence where most of the material works.Himesh ropes Honey singh yet again after 'Rani mai tu raja(SOS)'. He does as usual with his three lines punjabi vocals or rap-Likeable.Himesh configures different singing techniques that are crazy and adaptable. Hamsika chips in with some lines too giving some contrast. However, its the foot-tapping music that is impressive, giving life to this peppy number. Lyrics
are wierd and much that 'Teri yaad saath hai'-Himesh's signature tune inserted here is bit odd.Fast musical reverbrations,push-pop's araangements, some tabla mixture giving you a 'Bharatnatyam' feel from start are bizzare. Its a 50-50 Biscuit track with twin tastes!

'Balma' - Shriram & Shreya Ghoshal

One word to describe this item number - Funny. Specially that 'Fire-Brigade mangwa dena' from shreya ghoshal. overall, this is a desi comical arranged number with some fake-intricate touch. Shreya does her part with surpassing excellence. Shriram's high energy is too good that heats up the temperature. The vibes produced are really cracking giving you a touch of bygone
-era.Loads of energy and enthusiasm poured through animated sounds and beats are chirpy.Lyrics are again odd but effective as it suits the genetic makeup of
daftness. All in all should be a funny number to deal with.

      'Long Drive' - Mika

Long Drive has some catchy formations thanks largely to mika's enthusiastic vocals .Has some appealing music and punjabi tadka element.Himesh tries
distinctly bringing Punjabi pop fusion to fore. Lyrics are possesion of that punjabi
masala and grunge additions. It is groovy and has that sharp noise that has satisfying odds and ends..Overall quite an enjoyable track! Get into the highly
      addictive zone of'long Drive'!(I Recommend)

'Saari saari raat' - Himesh Reshammiya

Himesh himself holds the mic to give an edge to the soundtrack that was getting very interesting. However,'Sari sari raat'
is a sub-par song, especially the music is unclean.Too much usage of equivalent instrument in the first and last stanza is bit odd.Second one(stanza) is much better.Overall gives you a different tastes at each interval.Lyrics are endaring but in a literal sense it disappoints.Like or Unlike? It depends on you.

'Hookah Bar' - Himesh Reshammiya, Vineet Singh & Aman Trikha

Hookah Bar is a pacy organisation and breaks the traditional mood and sets the dance floor moving with thriving disco beat fillers adding jives in this customary sounding composition.'Hookah Bar' with grumbling 'n' wobbly tones in the earlier phase are too entertaining and carry the fervor with full zeal to last interludes where all artists modulates with extra zeal and high dosage.A situational number though! 'Hookah Bar' has that attention grabbing intensity.

'Khiladi (Title Track)' - Vineet Singh, Aman Trikha, Yashraj Kapil, Alam Gir Khan, Rajdeep Chatterjee

Let us get associated with the title track of the album finally.Heavily loaded with new comers in the singing department , this
title track is Dumdaar.Lyrics are highly impressive with desi taste.Dholki arrangements too adds up the recipe. it entertains with sufficient pep-fizz with its simple beat-structure and gives enough 'masti' to be enjoyed on.Pictured on
      Akshay's character, this is a full seeti-maar element.(Chartbuster!)

'Tu Hoor Pari' - Javed Ali, Shreya Ghoshal, Chandrakala Singh & Harshdeep Kaur

A great end to the soundtrack with 'Tu Hoor Pari'.For me the best track of the
album.Total lovesome affair! Love shreya ghoshal's sweet vocals that has praise-worthy decense. With Javed ali both creates a romantic atmosphere that is just- Delightful.Javed ali's punjabi makeup is majestic! giving that desi punjabi
feel.Lyrics resembles that shayari and punjabi boli patterns. With typical folksy and sher-e-punjab signature music, and as they often say ,'Happy ending' to the album and may be to movie.(I Recommend!)

Overall - Believe it or not this is definitely a hit soundtrack!.Overall,Himesh manages to give some delightful and peppy tracks that will take no time to show its impact. With Khiladi 786, himesh has a safe-soundtrack in hands. Some tracks have the simplicity while some are saucy! Khiladi 786 roars.......!!

My Favourites - 'Long Drive','Tu hoor
      pari','Khiladi(Title Track),'Lonely'.

      My Ratings - 3.5/5.

Lyrics by - Sameer, Shabbir Ahmed & Himesh Reshammiya.
