Khoka Strikes The Right Chord At Last

Khokababu rating: 7 out of 10

EXPECTATIONS - If I consider "Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo" better then even after two body hits like "Paglu" and "Romeo", "Khokababu" is able to catch much expectations. The Publicity And A super soundtrack [as usual in Dev movies] made Khokababu a New Year Surprise, especially to Dev Fans.

If I want to start then frankly, KHOKABABU is a winner. After DUI PRITHIBI, I've liked Dev so much and a film that casts him. KHOKABABU is obviously a start-to-end Dev flick with 'No-Gyan', 'No-Vigyan', 'Only Entertainment'. As it promises, it's thankfully successful.

Dev's Best Work In Commercial Cinema

Khokababu rating: 8 out of 10

Now that Tolly heart-throb Dev has tried both commercial and offbeat movies, we can divide his performance based on movies of these two genres. Well, Le Chakka to some extent is an offbeat role for Dev as there he had to act, and he did very well with minor mistakes. Then in Dui Prithibi, he excelled as a thief and broke his own records, creating a new "D-E-V". Then in Romeo he has acted well. And now in Khokababu, he is full-on with the commercial Bangla cinema and delivers a remarkable performance, considered by critics to be his BEST till date in commercial films. Khokha to rock this week

Khokababu rating: 5 out of 10

    By Aditya Chakrabarty(17 Jan 2012)

Dev’s last film Romeo was a big disappointment for his fans because over there he had to act, there was no action, no ‘Romeogiri’ and no ‘Devgiri’ hence the film didn’t do well at all as expected. However his fans will not be disappointed at all with his latest film ‘Khokababu’ which is a complete masala film with all the necessary ingredients in it. The name of the film seems to have been taken from a popular track from his film ‘Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo’ which had the track ‘Khokhababu Jai Lal Juto Pai’.

The film is about Khokha who is a fraud and a hopeless guy. ... » read more
