Now this is a perfect example of Cliched cinema. Or rather, Lemme put it this way – Unentertaining clichéd cinema. If anyone is new to hindi films and wants to know what is a regular B-grade Hindi film like, Khushboo has hit the screens this weekend just for you.
The film has everything that has been witnessed in our films for n number of times – Love at first sight, Parents’ objection, Punjabi backdrop, All goody goody followed by Some dispute only to end with a ‘They lived happily ever after’ note. The only thing missing is a tinge of freshness in the narrative to make it watchable atleast.
The writers have added in a few elements like Culture-conflict, Patriotism, Opposites attract and what not which were totally uncalled for. But that only makes the plot more weird. No emphasis has been made on developing the plot or characters. As a result, The protagonists end up being sketchy. The romance between them is conspicuous by its absence and the series of events look bizarre.
