Camerawork is not effective enough. There are some weird camera angles on a few occasions that take away whatever interest one begins to take in the film.
Rishi Rehan was plain loud. He was shouting at the top of his voice. Sorry, Not accepted. Avantika was comparatively decent, but her tanned look really didn’t fit in the movie.
However, Pahlaj Nihlani has used his goodwill to rope in an array of popular figures like Prem Chopra, Raj Babbar, Himani Shivpuri, Ninad Kamat, Nasser Abdulla for supporting characters and all of them do justice to their roles. Ninad Kamat was particularly good.
The only things that probably work in the favour of this otherwise stale melodrama are its lovely locales of Simla and Its somewhat hummable Music by Adnan Sami.
All and all, Khushboo is a classic example of old wine in new bottle. Unfortunately, Even that bottle is not cleaned properly, making the wine taste extremely distasteful. Avoid.
