    The story revolves around a kid named Rinki who is the pampered daughter of Mr.Subhashish Mitra, a well-to-do industrialist. Another character is Raju who comes from a lower middle class family. Incidentally the two of them meet one day when Raju, who was late for office takes a lift in Rinki's car. The story turns serious when Raju's mother is diagnosed with a brain tumour. Neither can Raju afford the amount of Rs. 40,000 nor does anybody offer to lend him the money. Desperate to save his mother he loses all reason and decides to commit the crime of kidnapping. Incidentally he comes across Rinki in a park and kidnaps her. But then his guilty conscience compels him to change his mind. But as he decides to return Rinki to her family he stumbles upon a team of unemployed youth, of whom two are notorious criminals while the rest are not inclined to commit any crime. However they use Raju and charge the ransom accorading to their interest. Meanwhile an intensive search begins for Rinki. Raju tries to flee the goons den with Rinki but cannot escape. They are taken to another place and Raju, this time, manages to escape with Rinki. However he is shot at, by one at the goons at his own doorstep. He dies and learns about the death of his mother when he breathes his last.
