Arti (Hema Malini) is a kathak dancer engaged to Chandan (Dharmendra). Inder Kumar (Jeetendra) an architect goes to go see Arti's dance rehearsal but meets with a car accident. He manages to escape but not without severe injuries. His uncle wants him to take a break and go off somewhere.
