A 90’s drama!
I guess the Director Puneet Sira is very close to the Khan’s family. He has just three films in his directory. Debu film was “I Proud to be an Indian” (2004) which was acted and produced by Sohail Khan itself; second one “Jai Veeru” (2009) which has Arbaaz in the villainous role; and the recent one “Kisaan” (2009) which is ofcourse under the Sohail Khan’s production company and plus acted by both the brothers Sohail and Arbaaz in the film. I am pretty much sure his next film will also be something or the other related to the Khan’s family.
Apart from this, the movie is a typically 90’s or mid 90’s drama. Where you will the same old type of drama, father has two sons, one goes to city for studying and the other becomes a farmer like his father. One industrialist comes to buy the land of the farmers. This father won’t sell his land. That industrialist hired his citywala son in his company, promoted him, flat, car and etc. And then the same old drama, differences between family, son separates from him family and blah blah blah blah!
Is you want to recall the good old time, and still want to see the mediocre type of 90’s drama, then this movie is a must for you. I guess the film would be more impressed to the mummy-papa kind of person and the film would be more successful in the rural areas, especially in villages.
Also one thing I would like to note here, this film will show you something about why the farmers were committing suicide. The issue which was and which is, still in the media. Don’t know how much fact they had shown to us, but do watch it if you are interested in knowing.
