Love Stories are the favourite genre all around the world. Sometimes they are with touch of good humour, sometimes fresh full of youth, sometimes good melodrama, sometimes larger than life and sometimes just plain simple love stories. These simple love stories are the stories where one can associate at some or other level. “Kismat Konnection” is also such type of simple love story, with its own touch.

Will Raj achieve his dreams and lover?
Music by Pritam is good. Foot tapping numbers like “Aai Paapi” “Move your body” and romantic songs like “Bakhuda” & “Is this love” are great. The only weak one is “Soniye”, this song could have been edited. Locations of Canada are captured with grace. Story is simple and runs on one track. Screenplay is good but bit lengthy in second half. The movie lacks good one liners and humour. Climax is typical, but the speech by shahid adds the beauty to the scene.
Aziz Mirza’s movies are simple film but along with touch of simplicity he adds a perfect combination of drama and humour. One does find drama but low and humour hardly in this film. The movie is pure romantic drama. His characters are majorly real and one can identify them at few points. But a good director always grows from his last movie. If that is the case aziz fails to grow than his last works.
Shahid has grown by his every movie and thus one does expect him to carry the movie on his shoulders. He does carry and impresses viewers with his sweet looks, smile and good performance. Vidya looks good, but not great and portrays her role properly. She brings the looks of love in her expressions. When you see them together they do look odd but love reflects from their performance. Vishal, Om Puri, Himani and others are fine as per their role. Juhi was sweet and perfect for her role.
So….”bol meri ‘Filmi Khopdi’ is film mein kitna hain dum???”
Dum hain, achi performance hai, par thodi simple hain. The movie could had been a good romantic comedy, but lack of good one liners, bit lengthy second half, typical climax makes it a simple average film. Besides all these the smile, good performance, music, the feel good factor is there in the movie. A simple romantic Kupid Konnection.
