Kisna synopsis (Story)

The film is set in the 1930s when nationalist sentiments amongst Indians was very high. The fight against the British rule was gaining momentum and the entire country rose as one to drive away the British. In this backdrop, a young Indian, Kisna Singh (Vivek Oberoi) befriends and then shields a British girl Katherine (Antonia Bernath), from an enraged mob of nationalists including Kisna's own uncle and brother. Disaster. I have believed this for several years now that if a movie has Subhash Ghai in the credits for direction, well it is completely and totally avoidable. Kisna only reinforced my belief. What’s ok? The cinematography is good. There are some stunning visuals, the firangi babe included, in the movie. Music is passable. Could have been better, but could have been worse too.
