Krishna is all about an angry young man who tracks down the killers of his brother, the honest DSP Bijoy Mukherjee. When his brother has an altercation with Ram Sett(The noted anti social responsible for the turmoil at Chingur and Chandigram), Bijoy decides to open a file in his name. Ram steals the file from Bijoy’s house though one of his men. He along with the corrupt D.I.G and one of his men finish off Bijoy when he catches the man who had stolen the file. Krishna, Bijoy’s younger brother comes to know about his brother’s death and is caught red handed bumping off the guy who had stolen the file and goes to jail. He flees and finishes off the men responsible for his brother’s death one by one except Ram Sett.Just when he is assaulting Ram; the cops arrive and arrest Ram.
This film is all about the triumph of good over the evil. The title of the film comes from Lord Krishna and Krishna in this film is supposed to be the answer to all problems against evil people. When the film was being publicized, the posters said, ‘Maa Mati Manusher Krishna Aasche’.The words ‘Ma Mati Manush do feature in the film and it seems the prevailing political situation in Bengal has been portrayed just by changing the names like for e.g-Singur becomes Chingur, Nandigram becomes Chandigram and’ Paribartan Jhar to sab dike dekha diyeche’.Why there is even a social activist in the film who has a striking resemblance with our ‘Didi’.Tapas Pal is perhaps the saving grace of the film and is good perhaps because he is all for change in the state. Raaj(that young long haired short hero of ‘Kalir Arjun’) who is playing the part of Krishna is agin unbearable and once agin it has been proved that he has nothing in him to be a hero as he cant act, cant dance and neither has looks. Indrani Dutta who had completely disappeared from the scene and appears as Tapas Pal’s wife is simply gorgeous (by way of looks and figure ) and one wonders why she doesn’t play the lead role instead of playing the role of someone’s wife. She looks like just she used to look 10-15 years and one wonders why she disappeared from the scène. She just has to get a proper actor her age to act opposite her. There is a complete laughable scene in the film where Krishna after fleeing from jail appears in front of the corrupt D.I.G and suddenly out of thin air as if to live up to his name, a bow and arrow appears in his hand. He shoots an arrow and the arrow goes and hits the engine and the car ignites! How more ridiculous can things get????????? Again over here a bullet travels in slow motion! Just because the name of the film is Krishna and the character has to live up to his name, do such absurdities have to be shown?
Just like his first film, where he makes a dramatic entry along with his name flashed across the scene long after the credits have rolled at the beginning of the film; in this film as well the same thing occurs! Now, now what do they think him to be? God? Oh! My God? Could anyone be worse?
