    Kulbhushan Kharbanda is an Indian actor. His first debut film was “Jaadu Ka Shankh” which was released in the year of 1974 directed by ‘Sai Paranjape’. Then he was much recognized in his next film which was directed by Mr. Shyam Benegal starred Naseeruddin Shah, Amrish Puri and others. The film was “Nishant” which was released in year of 1975. Shyamji liked his work so much that he signed him again for his next film “Manthan” (released in the year of 1976) starred Girish Karnad, Anant Nag and others & in “Bhumika” (released on the 11th of November 1977) starred Naseeruddin Shah, Amol Palekar and others.
    After that his performance became so popular that he was appeared in many hit films like “Junoon” (1977), “Shaan” (1981),
    Yashji’s film “Silsila” (released on the 14th of August 1981),
    In an again Shyamji’s film “Kaliyug” (1891),
    Raj Kapoor’s film “Prem Rog” (released on the 13th of August 1982),
    Girish Karnad’s film “Utsav” (1985),
    Raj Kapoor’s super hit film “Ram Teri Ganga Maili” (released on the 16th of August 1985), and many more hit films. He has appeared in more than 150 films till date.
    He was seen in all the three parts of Deepa Mehta's Elements trilogy, “Fire” (1996), “Earth” (1998), and “Water” (2005).
    In addition, Kulbhushanji has also done the mainstream cinema. He acted in movies such as Gupt (1997), Border (1977) and Monsoon Wedding (2001).
    He shaved his head for his role as ‘Shakal’ in a multistarrer movie “Shaan” (1981).
    He was also nominated for the actor in a supporting role for the film “Lagaan” (2001) at the ‘Awards of the International Film Academy’.
    Apart from the acting he also directed one film “Aahuti” in the year of 1950 which starred Mumtaz Shanti, Ranjit and others.
    He has also starred in Punjabi films. He played the hero in the legendary film “Chan Pardesi”
    (1980), and also starred in the comedy “Mahaul Theek Hai” (1999).
    His most recent film is “Jodhaa Akbar” (released on the 15th of February 2008) directed by ‘Ashutosh Gowarikar’ and on “Ru Ba Ru” (released on the September of 12th 2008) starred Randeep Hooda & Shahana Goswami.
    His upcoming films are “Ek-The Power of One” starred Bobby Deol, Shriya Saran and others;
    “EMI” starred Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Urmila Matondkar and others;
    “Team-The Force” starred Amrita Arora, Aarti Chhabria, Yash Tonk and others & in “Rajdhani Express” starring Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Nandana Sen, Sandhya Mridul and others.
