In Dulal Bhowmik’s “Kumari Maa” the bottom line is conflict betweem truth and evil. Justice’s only son Tridev, was engaged to Rita. Rita was pregnant and Hema abused her. With the help of the gateman she reaches Tridiv engagement party. Presence of Rita and her son hamper the engagement of Tridiv and he owned rita and her son as his own. Tridev murdered Rita and his son by pushing them down a hill. Tridev gets back to his own bussiness but the story is not over. The boy was saved by a hill dweller named Kajle (though she was also harrased by Tridev) and she used to pretend that the boy was her own son. Forest officer Vikram came at the buisness place to watch Tridev’s activities. He discovered Tridev’s activities and threatened him to improve. Apparently Vikram fell in love with Kajle. Tridiv found that Vikram was not the forest incharge, rather he is a police officer named Dipak Chakraborty, who was appointed to investigate his wife’s murder case. Tridev kidnaped the boy, Kajle and also caught Vikram, but all of them were released by kajle’s pet elephent, snake and monkey. Tridev was moved in to jail and got punishment to be hanged till death from the court. Finaly Tridev’s family discover Rita (who was also alive and already become a singer) from road and asked for purdon, as per our society, being wife of Tridev she saved him. All of them become happy and get relief.
