Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman's band NAFS has released a rendition of "Ghanan ghanan" from the 2001 film "Lagaan" along with a music video. While the rendition of the popular track bears the sanctity of the original song, the arrangement gives it an out of the box feel.

Of late, there was a misimpression in certain quarters that A.R. Rahman was becoming repetitive and loosing his touch. For all those who thought that he was suffering from burnout, Rahman comes roaring back with his music for Aamir Khan Productions' maiden film, 'Lagaan', and sets all doubts to rest. The music is so haunting that after hearing it you feel that he is at his creative best. During shooting, a cricket match was organized between the British actors and their Indian counterparts. Brits won the match! much of the cricketing gears used in the movie were actually dated back quite a far and were purchased from a London antic shop. The actors used to throw the dust manually to create the dusty atmosphere during the cricket match scenes to bring more authenticity of a village backdrop...
