Law Abiding Citizen rating: 7 out of 10(Aakash Barvalia wrote on 09 Feb 2010)

Directed by Mr. Gary Gray & Written by Kurt Wimmer, the film called “Law Abiding Citizen”. After watching the film one would definitely feel that, who is a fan of Bollywood movies, that the story of this film is being watched “n” number of times or atleast heard. Story is nothing new, but the screenplay writing and the way it’s being presented, that’s called the directorship, is just fabulous, and one can see one more time if got any chance to watch.

The very first scene of the movie, a local goon called as “Clarence Darby”, raped and killed the wife of Clyde (Gerard Butler) and also later killed her small little daughter. Now Nick (Jamie Foxx) who is some government detective cum lawyer or working in some investigative department was handling the case of Clyde, but due to improper evidence, Darby got a clean chit. Now, after 10yrs, Clyde kidnapped Darby and killed him in a very cruel manner, Chopped him in about 25 pieces. While doing this he recorded the whole video but wearing a mask on it. FBI arrested him but he also mailed a copy of this video to Nick. Everybody was knowing that he, means Clyde is the murderer but was having no evidence, and also he didn’t agreed to give confession. He was locked up in the jail and from the jail itself he was killing one by one who was directly or indirectly responsible for his life. Nobody was getting any idea that how he was doing that. He was very smart, very good in that, and plus a highly troublemaker to all.

The climax is little bit of unrealistic, but don’t miss it to watch.

    My comment:
Though you would feel or one would feel like the story of this film is nothing new, but the way it being presented is what worth appreciating.

Performance wise, the film was totally on the shoulder of two guys, Gerard Butler & Jamie Foxx. And they had performed their skills very efficiently, very convincing, fabulous, mind blowing and just simply amazing.

Direction by Gary Gray was just remarkable and I am totally flattered by his presentation, I mean to show something which is not new and to present it in such a manner that people would get attract, and he had done it in this movie. Audiences would definitely watch the movie till its last frame by not getting bored also.

Though the climax is a bit un-realistic and filmy, but still it’s worth watching. And just loved the last scene, by the way it’s being presented.

    Final verdict:
This film is a worth watching and full of thriller entertainment. (Atleast for one time)

    3.5 / 5
