Here is a film that boasts of having the spirit of Mumbai and it’s about the life and the struggle in Mumbai. Hope it reaches the mark!
Four different people are struggling in the city of Mumbai. One is with vengeance, one is on a mission, one with lots of hope and one is there to con. Life eventually brings all of them at one place. How will they find their way?
The music album of Life Ki Tou Lag Gayi is good (if not excellent) album with variety in its songs. Since the songs have variety hope the film too has it!
‘Deboshree’: It’s a love song which gradually turns into a sad song. It depicts betrayal…the line ‘O Meri Deboshree………….’ is appealing. Song is good but not vey impressive. Sung by Nitin Bali, the song shows the feelings of a betrayed lover. It ranges from average to a good track.
‘Character Theme Instrumental’ is a song for people who like instrumental songs including drums and trumpets. It reminds us of the old times. Nice song to hear.
‘Haryana Ka Sher’: This is an interesting one. The Punjabi lyrics add a lot more volume to the track.. It’s like an introductory song for Manu Rishi. It’s more of situational song. Lyrics are funny and interesting. Daler Mehndi shows his magic here. The music of the song is not great but the lyrics fill the gap. It has a raw appeal.
‘Life Ki Tou Lag Gayi…’ The title track is very energetic, enthusiastic and rocking number. The background score is bit loud but the flow it has is mind blowing. It can instantly bring you in the grooving mood. The song has good beats. It is set with a rock concert theme and can easily connect with masses. If this was not enough then, it also has the flavor of Mumbai. Youngsters will like it more. Has a bright future!
‘Galiyon’: It is a situational song. The lyrics are great and convey the message of life very well. It is soft but at the same time has strong feeling of rock music. It’s a good song and will be liked by people.
‘Mumbai Life Line Instrumental’ has a good rhythm. The theme of the song is based on the life of Mumbai. Musical arrangements are best here.
‘Zindagi’: The song has sadness in it and the lyrics focus on the journey of life. It’s a serious and dark song by Suraj Jagan. Overall it fails to make a mark as a whole.
‘Saja E Maut’ sung by Vinay Jaiswal, again tries to make a mark but it again qualifies as an average track.
Average. The trailer fails to focus on the story of the film; a vague idea of the film is given. It appears to be boring and dull at some points.
The songs are good and experimental (except a few). The songs may or may not be the chart busters, but with actors like Ranvir Shorey, Kay Kay Menon, Pradhuman Singh and Manu Rishi on board, the film is above average. As far as box office success is concerned, the fans of Ranvir Shorey and Kay Kay Menon will definitely make it to the theatre!
