  PROLOGUE: From my school days, I was a big fan of Shahrukh Khan + Also by nature, am pretty much emotional type = So, this can be a biased review...Was eagerly waiting for this film, right after watching the captivating promo & now finally, the wait is over..Right after selling the movie tickets to us, the British man at the ticket counter gladly announced "Jab Tak Hai Jaan...All Tickets SOLD OUT" (off course with his weird pronunciation in the 'Hindi' part of this sentence)

  As I walked in to Chandan Cinema at Juhu for the 1st Day 1st Show of Jab Tak Hain Jaan, it was me venturing to a single screen theatre after ages… I couldn’t recall when the last time I had been to a single screen theater. As the lights dimmed, well into the first few reels, amongst the hullabo of a day 1 crowd, a man gingerly walked in and sat next to me… white shirt and trouser along with the Dev Anand cap.   A Yash Chopra Romance... after 8 years! This is enough to attract moviegoers to the cinehalls; as it is somewhat (probably) the last romantic saga of its genre. A dying genre - and one which built Bollywood on International front - and sadly, Indian cinema have been reverting back to primitive masala dishes in the last 5 years. That the King of this dying genre will breathe his last before its release makes it even more heartbreaking, special and magnanimous.   A beautiful epic love story from Yash Chopra!

  I was lucky to catch a advance preview screening of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. I have watched many Indian movies for the last 35 years or so and this must rate as one of the best Indian movies ever. I've listened to the songs before i've even heard of which movie it originated from and absolutely had goose-bumps watching the movie and hearing the songs which I had already considered my all-time favorites! I have never come across any other movie which had so many romantic melodies in one.

  It is a phenomenal weakness of human-kind to smear, amalgamate and fuse sentiments, emotions, prejudices, bias and nostalgia with the content to be consumed. It is a pre-occupied idea that every dish served in a famous restaurant must be sumptuous.   Whenever you are going to watch a Yash Chopra movie.. Always remember it will be a romantic saga.. Romance the word has become illusive in our life.. We don't believe in Love, romance.. we do not have time for love.. But Yashji's movie can do wonders.. He will tell a story in such a way that you will believe love is there..   I was lucky to catch a advance preview screening of Jab Tak Hai Jaan.I have watched many 'Indian' movies for the last 35 years or so and this must rate as one of the best Indian movies ever.
