It’s quite routine for today’s aspiring directors to get inspired by world cinema. But very few try to adapt the vision and rest all fall for Plagiarism. Some make frame to frame copy, some change it to rural India, etc but overall has total hangover of the Pseudo intellectual stuff and thus fail to connect to its Indian audience, for whom the film is made. Dibakar Banerjee is one of those few directors who follow the vision and not the fad. Let’s find out how much more has the vision grown, in compared to his last few great work, or has fallen b low the expectation.

    Lovely, Sexy & Dhokha-free

I consider myself extremely lucky with respect to watching multiple films in a single day. Invariably, I end up watching the best one at the end and that usually makes up for the previous disappointments, if any. Yesterday wasn’t very high on the disappointment side, with my earlier essays of the day being an enjoyable Lahore and a surprising Shaapit. The last of the day was the third film of Dibakar Banerjee (Khosla ka Ghosla & Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! fame). My run of luck continued.

Love, Sex aur Dhokha (LSD) is Dibakar’s ode to the voyeuristic psyche of humans ... » read more

Worth a watch for its style and presentation

If for nothing else, Love Sex Aur Dhokha is worth a watch for its style and presentation. Shot entirely through digi-cams, hand-held cameras, spy cams, security cams and the like, the movie has an extremely fresh appeal. Kudos to Dibakar Banarjee for attempting something new, for trying to break away from everything else that has ever been made, and for succeeding. I won’t debate whether Love Sex Aur Dhokha will be a hit or not (trade figures and box office revenues don’t impress me much), but I can say that anyone who watches this movie won’t leave disappointed.

Love Sex aur Dhokha is a 2010 Hindi film about voyeurism. The film is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and is produced by Alt Entertainment. The movie was released on March 2010, and one of the three sub-plots in the movie is loosely based on the infamous 2004 DPS MMS scandal [1]. The film has been critically received, and performing solid but not as expected at the box office.

The film has been censored a lot, a seven minute long bare back love making scene was made short and has been blurred.[2] The title itself is a bold one. A reference to ... » read more

'LSD' is collage of three short stories showcasing love, sex and dhokha. The love story features a teen romance between a student Rahul (Anshuman Jha) who is making his diploma film and his heroine Shruti (Shruti). The second story features a relationship in a supermarket between a sales girl Rashmi (Neha Chauhan) and a looser Adarsh (Raj Kumar Yadav) who wants to make some quick bucks by making some mms. The final installment features a sting operation camera man Prabhat (Amit Sial) and an aspiring model Naina Biswas (Arya Banerjee) wanting to feature in a music Video. » read more

LSD is provocative & edgy but honest.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha rating: 5 out of 10

Love, Sex, and Dhokha (LSD) is a very ‘cool’ film younistan i.e teenage movie goers would thoroughly enjoy as it's realness strike a chord with a certain class.
LSD comprises of three stories which are strung in a common thread i.e all of them have a bit of love, sex, and dhokha in them.
The director, Dibakar Banerjee tries to weave three true life stories to entertain and make a larger point about the voyeuristic nature of our society, all at the same time.
In short LSD is a provocative & edgy but honest film. » read more

    A wonder movie!

Love Sex Aur Dhokha rating: 7 out of 10

By Mrs Chandra Banerjee(22 Apr 2010)

I do not know how small the budget was of this movie but surely it is a wonder movie in many ways. First the movie has three parts linking each other by some charecters. Then these are all linked by the use of camera in different form. the stories are told with simple narrations and by a clever touch of using no known stars it turned out to be realistic. The director Dibakar has already shown his capability in his earlier movies, in this on he could proove hiself more. The sympathy goes to the downtrdden who could not do anything agaist the evil, but the effort to do good ... » read more

    very good one watch

Love Sex Aur Dhokha rating: 7 out of 10

By raj khanna(21 May 2010) sex aur dhoka- 3 stories..of people who actually know each other. very good attempt at cinema that is different. whole movie is shot like a candid camera. at the start one feels:what is this:.but as the movie progresses one really starts to like the real feeling.
all 3 stories are hard hitting and realistic and all the new people have given very natural performances.
very good attempt by the makers.
very good to watch one time as one gets a feel that is a future option in film-making. kudos » read more
