PAGE 3/PART 2
The film had shown the real world of the so called our Indian Film Industry. But in a different way. Konkana is again unfortunately had been a victim…’through this industry’.
The very first scene of the film already shows you the bad side of it. The word which all we are quite familiar with it “COMPROMISE”. But later on the film gives out many meaningful messages, which if we apply in our general day to day life then I would guess it would be a great help from this film. Wonderful dialouges such as “meetha banana ho toh shakkar daalna he padta hain” ; “I don’t believe in destiny..i believe in..me” and many more worth full dialouges.
The film is a little slow which I felt overall and that’s because lack of entertainment factor I would guess. ‘From start to end you would feel a simple kind of film which has no creativity in it but a feel good factor at the end of it.’ The only creativity part I loved was the Credit title which comes at the start of the film. Each and every name that was shown and each and every image that was shown behind that name was so beautiful to watch. Great creativity. Like for ex. If a name displayed as ‘production design” then there will be some junior working in production or designing it, something like that. Lyrics part comes when some juniors sings in chorus, and etc. lovely picturization. The film also showed some interesting facts that how can one become successful and getting a break in this industry. I belong to this industry and was just feeling like..’is there is a flashback mirror in front of me or what?’ Cant believe it that almost every fact that have been showed to us is what I have experienced in my upto career. The starcast affairs, the politics going on, entry of the new comer, the back saying “good” words between stars, directors, writers, producers relating the topic where the great “screenplay” comes in picture, and etc. Zoya’s direction is good but not upto the mark. it’s a look-a-like of a very simple film with some hidden truths n facts about our Indian Film Industry. Looking like the theme adopted from the film “Page 3” but not having impact of it.
About the cast. Konkana was really very good, she deserves a good break. Farhan is that person what I would say to him, “an all rounder”. Proved again that he can really act well. But there was a lack in his facial expression when the emotion part comes. Sharukh does it amazingly even though he was there in the film for just 2mins. The Emotions on his face was so watchable. And that’s why we all call him The King Khan, hard work counts. Dimple and Rishi..my goodness what a pair, what a chemistry, classic movies are just refreshing my memory again. And my sweetheart Juhi..just one word for her..BEAUTIFUL..she looks a-mazing. The most gorgeous woman I would say, but but but..not more than dimple if they appear together on a one single frame. Isha was good according to her character, but was looking very cute. Sanjay Kapoor was more of looking like copying his brother. Hrithik was once again fantastic actor and the great dancer. And for about side artists, the two boys who had played Farhan’s friends were good, showed their potential. And great news, Karan Johar can really act well. Naahh, otherwise the first movie he would be signing is none other than the sequel of Dostana.
Knock Knock!! Whats there in the audience bag?
All in all - a good film to watch with a feel good factor at the end, but only for those who are a movie lover, rest its not worth watching it second time.
So ‘Go Movie Lovers’ watch it, atleast once.
