Some films are made at times with known stars which are hardly films and are really beyond writing. In fact even to tolerate the film for a considerable period of time becomes a torture.Lukochurii is one such film where from the first moment, you know it is going to be torture and more torture. There is virtually no worthwhile dialogue, screenplay to talk of and on top of that the dialogues are inaudible and the print is a little hazy and little needs to be said of the camera work if any. This film is about Two thieves Joy and Shubho who come across a young boy one day at an unconstructed building(where they hide their things) and rescue him as he is tied and unconsciousness. He turns out to be the D.S.P’s son whom the terrorists have kidnapped in order to get ransom money and purchase arms. Though their head disguises himself as a sadhu, the young boy recognizes him .Joy and Subho take him to a hospital where they discover he has a heart problem but the terrorists again get hold of him. Joy and Subho go to Sahapur colony and rescue him.

There is not one thing which is good about the film.In the beginning Jishu and Rudranil’s jokes and slapstick humour along with their drunkenness put you off. That goes on for some time till Rajatava comes in to the picture as Mr. Woolpakano. He is more of a cartoon than a terrorist and maybe he is the best thing about the film though he can’t do much to save the film from drowning. The director just could not decide what genre of film he wanted to make so ultimately what we see is nothing short of a tragedy. The most shocking thing-there is not even a single song in the film! How does an ace scriptwriter like Padmanava Dasgupta come up with such a script?
