What a phenomenal album, one of Salil Chowdhury's finest in Hindi films.
The ethereal voice of Lata Mangeshkar rings out crystal clear in the haunting 'Aaja Re Pardesi'.
Another beautiful number is 'Suhaana Safar' by Mukesh in which one can feel the sound of nature, the hills and the vales in the song.
'Dil Tarap Tarap' and 'Ghadi Ghadi Mera Dil Dharke' are both endearing tracks, while the pathos of Rafi saab's singing in 'Toote Huye Khwaabon Ne' reaches the soul directly.
The tribal beats of 'O Bichuaa, Peepal Chhaiya Baithi' and 'Zulmi Sang Aankh Ladi' are also captivating.
The entire soundtrack is like Chicken soup for the soul.
